Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re considering Assisted Living facilities in Worcester, MA, Notre Dame Health Care is a great place to start. Learn more about Assisted Living and retirement communities by reading our FAQs below or contacting us today.

Independent Living is designed for seniors who are generally self-sufficient but want to shed the burdens of home maintenance, taxes, and cooking. In contrast, Assisted Living is for those who need a helping hand with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, bathing, or medication management.

At Notre Dame du Lac, our Worcester Assisted Living facilities bridge the gap, allowing residents to maintain their independence while receiving 24/7 professional support.

While both provide support with daily tasks, Memory Care is a specialized environment for those living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. It features enhanced security to prevent wandering, a higher staff-to-resident ratio, and activities designed to reduce anxiety and promote cognitive engagement. Standard Assisted Living is better suited for those who need physical assistance – not support with memory loss.

Because we offer all levels of care, residents can transition seamlessly between levels of support as their needs evolve. Our community offers Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Rehabilitation, in addition to Assisted Living.

The cost of Assisted Living facilities in Worcester, MA, typically depends on the size of the apartment and the level of care required. Notre Dame Health Care provides a transparent breakdown of fees during your tour.

Availability changes frequently as new residents join our community. We encourage you to contact our admissions team today to check current openings or to join our waitlist.

We believe that family is an essential part of the care team. We maintain open lines of communication through regular care plan meetings and direct access to our nursing and administrative staff. Whether it’s a quick phone update or a formal meeting to adjust care levels, we ensure you are always informed about your loved one’s well-being.
